Although I am quite biased, I really think we have some of the best author events in town. Did you know that we’ve had at least one event every single month we’ve been open? And, for the last six months or so, we’ve had at least two every month! I really look forward to offering even more per month in the future. If you’ve never been to an event at Ada’s, there’s no better time to start than now! The events just keep getting better and better. We have a hackerspace presentation tonight at 7pm and another couple of events lined up for next month. (You can stay up to date with all of our events through our mailing list, here).
I was going to list some of my favorite events here, but you know what? I can’t decide! Instead, here are some of my favorite photos from events:
My latest discovery when it comes to events at the store are G+ Events. At first, I wasn’t quite sure if I liked them or hated them, but after this last event I’ve decided that they’re amazing! Not only will they automatically add to your Google Calendar (which, let’s face it, is basically my brain), they will remind you of an event coming up, and, my favorite feature, during the event you can choose to put your phone in “Party Mode.” Party mode means that all the pictures and videos that you take with your phone during the event times are automatically added to the event page. I would really love it if more people used this feature at our events… how great would it be to have everyone that attends the event document it in either photo or video to share with all of us! I tested the feature out a bit with our last author event and really loved it!
